The Lakefield Chiefs were in action last night, losing to Clarington 3-2. They’ll continue their preseason tomorrow with three exhibition games in Muskoka.
The Fleming Phoenix soccer teams will kick off their seasons tonight against St. Lawrence College. Both games will be played at the Fleming Sports Complex, with the women taking the field at 6pm, followed by the men at 8pm.
After winning their season opener on Wednesday, the Trent Excalibur men’s lacrosse team is back at Justin Chiu Stadium on Sunday to host McGill. Game time is 1pm.
Also at Trent this weekend, the men’s and women’s soccer teams will play back-to-back games tomorrow against Ontario Tech, starting with the women at 1pm.
The preseason continues for the Peterborough Petes on Sunday when they face the Kingston Frontenacs in a 2pm matinee at the Asphodel Norwood Community Centre. The regular season is now less than two weeks away, with the home opener set for September 18 against the Brampton Steelheads.
