A family disagreement in Selwyn Township ended with a 68-year-old Peterborough man facing assault and mischief charges.
Police were called just before 11 am on Monday, after a family member reported being attacked by their grandparent. The complainant attempted to contact police outside but had their phone grabbed and damaged by the accused. The caller recovered the phone and officers were contacted.
When officers arrived, they spoke with all parties involved, leading to the arrest of the 68-year-old. He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough at a future date.
