Greater Napanee Council has approved plans for a new Youth Wellness Hub on the west side of the town’s train station. The decision comes after the Greater Napanee Youth Services Coalition requested a hub earlier this year. While council rejected 12 Market Square as the site, they supported finding another location.
The train station space was previously used by Morningstar Mission for its furniture program. To accommodate both needs, staff worked with Morningstar to relocate the program to the Conservation Park garage, which is being cleaned and reorganized.
Council directed staff to bring back facility use agreements for both the Youth Services Coalition at the train station and Morningstar Mission at the garage. Officials say the move is a win for youth services and community partners alike.
