Community Futures Peterborough is bringing back its popular Entrepreneurship 101 workshop series this fall, with three brand-new sessions added to the lineup.
The seven-part program is designed to help business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs turn ideas into successful ventures. Topics include brainstorming and validating business ideas, business planning, financing, intellectual property, branding, cash flow forecasting, and hiring employees.

Small businesses are crucial to our local economy, and getting them off the ground isn’t easy,” said Emma Harrison, MP for the Riding of Peterborough. “The Entrepreneurship 101 series is an excellent way for entrepreneurs to gain the experience they need to be successful. Community Futures Peterborough reports growing demand for advisory services and business lending, with more than 200 consultations held over the past four months.
“We’re excited to bring back this popular series with fresh content and new workshops for entrepreneurs to learn, connect, and grow,” said Allison Adam, Entrepreneurship Officer at Community Futures Peterborough. “It’s about giving people the right knowledge and tools at the right time so they can move forward with confidence and clarity in their business journey.”
Workshops run from September 24 through December 3 at the Venture North Building in Peterborough. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged at cfpeterborough.ca.
