Northumberland County says crews are making solid progress on the multi-million-dollar Prince Edward Street/County Road 64 reconstruction project.
In a brief construction update, officials also say the road could temporarily reopen for the Labour Day long-weekend – although, this is weather dependent and if safety isn’t impacted.
Work would then continue tackling underground infrastructure and rebuilding the stretch between Harbour and Cedar streets on Tuesday.
As previously reported, construction work is anticipated until late this fall.
