Burnham Family Farm Market is welcoming visitors this long weekend with its popular corn maze, fresh-picked produce, and preparations for fall activities.
Nestled at 7760 County Road 2 in Cobourg, the market has been a beloved fixture in the community since 1994, offering fresh, locally grown produce and irresistible baked treats from its welcoming farm store. Open daily (Monday to Sunday) from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through most of the year, the market prides itself on delivering the same thoughtful care and quality as a home-grown kitchen table.
Katie Burnham says the corn maze opened last weekend and features a new pollinator theme, with educational signs along the paths.
She adds that the raised viewing platform introduced last year is back, offering a bird’s-eye view of the maze.
Harvest time also means plenty of fresh food on the market shelves. Burnham says sweet corn has been strong this season, and apples and squash are beginning to arrive.
Looking ahead, the farm is preparing for its annual United Way Painted Pumpkin Raffle in October. Burnham says it’s a seasonal highlight that brings the community together.
The event typically raises more than $1,000 for local programs.
The farm is open all weekend, but will be closed Monday for Labour Day.
