Centerville is getting ready to welcome families back for its annual fair this long weekend! The two-day event will be held at 26 Lake Road and is packed with entertainment, food, and community spirit.
myFM spoke with Lori Hird, who told us when this years fair is taking place.
The fun starts Friday with a parade!
The parade will be followed by a Family Fun Zone featuring bouncy castles and old-fashioned carnival games. A grandstand show by The Shadowz will close out the night.
Saturday’s schedule includes horse, cattle, poultry, and goat shows, a best-decorated bike contest, and a car show by Boots and Bonnets. Local musicians Fred Brown, Stephen Tanner, Dennis Bowman, and the Mary Mary Minstrels will perform throughout the day.
One of the most popular items, is the Cow Patty Bingo!
Food will be served by the fair canteen, Centerville United Church, and St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, known for their homemade pies. Visitors can also enjoy a silent auction, vendors’ alley, and children’s displays.
The fair is billed as a safe, family-friendly Labour Day weekend tradition!
