Pet owners across the region are being reminded to get their pets protected from rabies.
The South East Health Unit’s Dr. Linna Li, Deputy Medical Officer of Health, says even indoor pets benefit, as bats have been reported entering homes.
Andrew Dunn, Senior Public Health Inspector, says hunting dogs are also strongly encouraged to be vaccinated before the season begins.
