The Greater Napanee community is invited to take part in the annual Terry Fox Run on Sunday, September 14, in support of cancer research.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope and the 43rd year of the event in Greater Napanee.
myFM spoke with organizer Rebecca Wilkinson, who told us again this year, the Greater Napanee Terry Fox Run will begin from the Pavilion in Conservation Park.
The run welcomes people of all ages and abilities, with participants able to walk, run or wheel either a 5-kilometre or 10-kilometre route. Teams made up of businesses, organizations, sports groups, friends and families are encouraged to “Team Up for Terry.”
To register, visit Run.TerryFox.ca and search for the Napanee run,
Wilkinson told us more about this years theme, Finish It.
The community has always rallied behind the cause, raising just over $21,000 at last year’s local run. Combined with donations from schools, the 2024 total reached $28,293.90. The goal this year is to surpass that number.
Join the 88.7 myFM Fox Trotters as we help raise funds for cancer research during this years Terry Fox run.
