The Hastings County Plowing Match and Farm Show is set to return August 20 and 21, this year taking place at Burkitt Farm, 1289 Harrington Rd, in Frankford.
myFM spoke with Brian Dracup, who told us visitors can expect to see nearly 90 agricultural vendors and more!
A kids’ tent will feature face painting, a corn bin, and donated toys, while food trucks and the popular 4-H milkshake booth keep families fueled.
This event is fully about local agriculture and it’s local history.
The two-day event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, with evening entertainment from 6:30 to 10 p.m. both nights. Camping trailers are welcome for those who want to stay the full experience.
Organizers say the event is a celebration of farming traditions and a tribute to the late Robert Burkett.
Admission is $8 for adults, with children 12 and under free.
