Residents of Deseronto are being advised that St. George Street, from Dundas Street to Maple Avenue, will soon undergo extensive upgrades to improve safety and traffic flow.
The project includes asphalt rehabilitation to restore the road surface, extend its lifespan, and enhance driving conditions. Upgrades to the curb and gutter system will also improve stormwater drainage and help reduce the risk of flooding in the area.
Construction will begin with stormwater management improvements and continue until all planned work is complete. During this time, traffic control measures will be in place. Drivers and pedestrians may experience temporary delays, lane reductions, or short-term closures. While access to homes will remain a priority, alternate routes or detours may sometimes be required.
The Town of Deseronto thanks residents for their patience and cooperation. Questions or concerns can be directed to Deseronto Town Hall at 613-396-2440 or bbrooks@deseronto.ca
