We’re in for a good show Friday and Saturday when the Perseid meteor shower makes its annual appearance.
Hobby Astronomer Frank Hudgens says while it won’t be at its full strength at that point, the receding full moon will make it more viewable.
Hudgens goes over the ideal viewing location.
The shower arrives on the same day each year due to an ongoing cycle.
What follows is the debris and sand which creates the comets we see.
Hudgens says the show will begin around 10 p.m. each night.
