The Peterborough Lakers travel to Whitby tonight for a must-win Game 6 against the Brooklin Lacrosse Club. A victory would force a Game 7 tomorrow night at the Memorial Centre. The last time Brooklin defeated Peterborough in a playoff series was back in 2013. Tonight’s action gets underway at 8pm from the Iroquois Park Sports Centre.
Peterborough’s Audrey Martone announced on social media yesterday that she’ll be heading to Colgate University after graduation to play NCAA Division I hockey with the Raiders. Audrey is the younger sister of first-round NHL draft pick Porter Martone, and her father, Mike, is a former captain of the Petes.
And organizers are gearing up for the 4th Annual Gary Dalliday Memorial “Caring for Our Communities” Golf Tournament. This year’s event takes place on Monday at the Peterborough Golf and Country Club, with proceeds supporting Meals on Wheels across the city and county, Curve Lake First Nation, and surrounding communities.
