The Alzheimer Society KFLA is hosting an event soon where residents learn how to protect themselves from scams and fraud.
The “Preventing Fraud and Scams” session will be held Thursday, August 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Napanee Area Community Health Centre, 26 Dundas Street West.
Constable Martyn Curran, the Lennox and Addington OPP Community Engagement Officer, will share tips on spotting scams, protecting personal information and avoiding financial loss.
Knowledge is one of the most powerful tools in the fight against fraud, especially as scams continue to target people of all ages.
The event is free to attend, but participants are asked to RSVP to Lorraine Ross at lross@alzking.com or by calling 613-354-8937 ext. 7220.
Space is limited, so early registration is recommended.
