A 67-year-old local man has been arrested after a family dog was shot on Sunday morning.
Peterborough County OPP say they received a report just before 11:00 a.m. on August 10, that a complainant’s neighbour had allegedly fired shots, resulting in one of their three dogs being injured. Officers attended the scene, spoke with all parties involved, and arrested the suspect.
Ralph Boake, of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township, has been charged with killing or injuring animals. He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on September 16.
