The Shannonville World’s Fair is fast approaching, and is set to offer a full weekend of agricultural showcases, family fun and live entertainment!
myFM spoke with Carla Haigh, Shannonville Agricultural Society treasurer, who told us the fair, founded in 1856, celebrates the area’s farming heritage while adding modern attractions.
Haigh let us know when and where this years fair will be taking place.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12, with most activities included.
The fun kicks off Friday with local exhibits, and more!
Saturday’s lineup includes a 4-H dairy show, barrel racing, a family fun run, inflatable games, zucchini races, a foam party, a rock climbing wall, and a hot diggity dog fly ball show.
Live music will fill the beer tent Saturday, with Johnny Hicks performing from 3 to 6 p.m. and Ed’s Garage headlining.
Organizers thanked sponsors and encouraged the community to join in the two-day celebration.
