Brighton’s All Hands on Deck Food Drive, hosted by Oldies 100.9 will take place Thursday, August 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with support from Workman’s OK Tire and Workman Engine Machine.
This year’s effort will benefit local food banks, helping ensure shelves are stocked as families face back-to-school expenses.
Residents are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items, school supplies, or monetary donations at Chris and Angela’s No Frills, Sobey’s Brighton and Smylie’s Your Independent Grocers in Trenton throughout the day with all donations to be distributed across the county.
Food 4 All Warehouse’s Jen Glover explains.
Volunteers will be on site to greet donors and collect contributions.
With food bank shelves running low and back-to-school costs rising, the drive is focused on gathering non-perishable food items and school supplies, helping local families ensure their children are ready for the classroom.
Every donation makes a big difference and Glover says monetary donations are really helpful.
Glover tells us about their most needed items.
