The need for donations of clothing and other items for Peterborough’s unhoused is particularly acute at present, and that has the Ready for Home committee issuing a call for help.
The committee, which is an offshoot of Peterborough Action for Tiny Homes (PATH), is looking to gather and distribute small men’s clothes and any sized shoes, which are particularly needed.
Committee member Bev Assinck says donations can be dropped off at PATH’s location at the former Humane Society building on Lansdowne Street East.
Assinck says while the need is ever present, Peterborough has consistently answered the call for help.
Assinck admits to initially being hesitant to volunteer her time for this work but one thing in particular brought her around.
