There was a large crowd at the Napanee Fairgrounds sports complex on Wednesday as the U17 Men’s Canadian Fast Pitch Championship began!

Our home town team Napanee Express won their first game against Newfoundland and Labrador 2 by a score of 8-1. Then in the evening, following the opening ceremony, the Napanee Express defeated the reigning champs, Équipe Quebec, 9-2.
Looking at the standings at the end of the first day, Napanee is sitting in second behind Nova Scotia 1 Brookfield Elks. An image of the full standings after day one can be found below.
Today (Thursday), the Napanee Express play Nova Scotia 2 @ 11:30am and then they play Saskatchewan 2 @ 6:30pm.
