The Lennox and Addington County OPP and the OPP Highway Safety Division’s Quinte West TIME Team were out Tuesday on Highway 7 in Kaladar conducting inspections on commercial vehicles.
Several charges were laid, and one vehicle was taken off the road after officers found the driver had the wrong class of licence.
In Ontario, a Class G licence only allows drivers to operate vehicles with a maximum total weight of 11,000 kilograms, including trailers. Vehicles exceeding that limit require a higher class of licence.
Police remind all drivers to follow licensing rules to keep roads safe and avoid penalties.
