A watermain break in Lakefield has led to a full ban on lawn watering and a request for residents to limit all non-essential water use.
Officials say the incident is affecting the capacity of the water system and could impact supply if usage is not reduced.
The Township of Selwyn is urging all Lakefield water system users to immediately stop watering lawns and to be mindful of other activities that use large amounts of water, such as washing cars or filling pools.
The restrictions will remain in place until further notice.
Residents are thanked for their cooperation.
