The Lakers came up short last night against the Brooklin Lacrosse Club, falling 7-4. Despite the loss, Peterborough still leads the best-of-seven series 2-1, with Game 4 set for 8pm tomorrow in Whitby.
After a three-week layoff, the Jr. C Lakers return to action tomorrow when they host Burlington in Game 1 of the Meredith Cup final. After knocking off Whitby back on July 13, the Lakers received a bye to the final and had to wait for their championship opponent. Tomorrow’s game is set for 8pm at the Healthy Planet Arena. Peterborough heads into the series with an overall record of 21 wins and just 1 loss.
And on the diamond, the Peterborough U10 Tier 2 Tigers host Oshawa at East City Bowl, with first pitch scheduled for 6pm. Meanwhile, the U19 Tier AA Tigers are in Port Hope to take on Northumberland at 6:15 at Optimist Park.
