An 18-year-old is facing charges after Northumberland OPP says police were called to a family dispute call, and the accused allegedly spat at and threatened officers.
On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at about 9 a.m., police were called to a Killdeer Crescent residence in Alnwick/Haldimand after a report of a person causing damage inside the home and allegedly assaulting others, said OPP.
When officers arrived on scene, there were no serious injuries reported – but during the arrest, police said the individual allegedly resisted police, “spat on one officer and threatened another.”
As a result of the investigation, police said the 18-year-old female was charged with assault, assault a peace officer, resist peace officer, uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm, and mischief under $5,000.
None of these charges have been proven in court. The accused won’t be named to protect the identity of the victims, reported OPP.
No other details were released by police.
