Country music fans are in for a major treat this summer as Peterborough Musicfest welcomes Canadian country sensation Jess Moskaluke to the Fred Anderson Stage at Del Crary Park.
The show marks Moskaluke’s debut at the festival.
A trailblazer in the country music scene, Moskaluke made history as the first Canadian female country artist since Shania Twain to achieve Platinum certification with her breakout single “Cheap Wine and Cigarettes.” Since then, she has continued to dominate the airwaves with hits including “Country Girls,” “Kiss Me Quiet,” “Mapdot,” “Halfway Home,” and “Knock Off.”
Moskaluke has carved out a distinct place in Canadian music and her accolades include a JUNO Award, numerous Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards, and a Gold-certified duet with Paul Brandt on “I’m an Open Road.”
Opening the night at 6:30 p.m. is local artist Ryan Scott, part of Musicfest’s Future Sound Series. The series highlights emerging talent from the region and gives rising stars a chance to shine in front of a large audience.
