Greater Napanee’s Veterans Memorial Cross Walk was unveiled last week, not too far from the Napanee Legion. This cross walk was made possible by the amazing team of volunteers with Greater Napanee Connect.
myFM spoke with Tiffany Lloyd, who told us about her initial reaction to seeing the finished product.
The cross walk was painted by Online Pavement Marking out of Kingston, and features alternating red and white stripes with a black silhouette of a soldier at either end, with “Lest We Forget” written under.
Painting a cross walk like this comes with its costs, with Greater Napanee Connect organizing a fire truck pull earlier this year to help raise the funds. Lloyd told us how much was needed,
And of course, there are so many people to thank, including the seven teams who pulled the fire truck!
