The Cobourg Police Service is advising the public that the accessibility ramp at its station located at 107 King Street West is temporarily closed due to unexpected repairs.
Although the ramp is out of service, the front desk remains open during regular hours of operation – Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To ensure continued accessibility, a temporary plan has been put in place. Visitors who require assistance entering the building can use the telephone located to the left of the main entrance. The phone connects directly to dispatch, who will coordinate support from staff.
The Cobourg Police Service says it is working to complete the repairs as quickly as possible and will issue a follow-up notice when the ramp is operational again.
Community members are also encouraged to use available online services. These include criminal record check applications, freedom of information requests, motor vehicle collision report submissions, non-emergency crime reporting, and bike registration.
All of these services can be accessed by visiting cobourgpoliceservice.com.
Cobourg Police thank residents for their patience and understanding while the ramp is being repaired.
