Three drivers are facing impaired driving charges after separate incidents in Lennox and Addington County.
On Friday, July 18 around 1:00 p.m., Ontario Provincial Police were called to a fail-to-remain crash on County Road 9 in Greater Napanee. Officers later found the vehicle and arrested an 18-year-old from Greater Napanee. The driver was charged with impaired driving by alcohol, having a blood alcohol level over the legal limit, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and failing to stop after an accident.
Later that evening around 9:00 p.m., OPP responded to a single-vehicle crash on County Road 2, also in Greater Napanee. The vehicle had left the scene, but police found it shortly after. A 28-year-old from Deseronto was charged with impaired driving, dangerous operation, and refusing to provide a breath sample.
On Monday, July 21 just before 1:00 a.m., police were called to another single-vehicle crash on County Road 41 in Addington Highlands. A Drug Recognition Expert helped assess the 22-year-old driver from Brampton, who was charged with impaired driving by drugs, careless driving, having cannabis readily available, and driving without insurance.
All three were released and will appear in court in Greater Napanee at a later date.
