The Jr A Lakers have their semifinal playoff opponent. They’ll take on the top-seeded Orangeville Northmen, with the best-of-seven series starting on the road tomorrow. Game two is set for 8pm on Wednesday at the PMC.
The teams split the regular season series, with the road team winning each game.
Staying with lacrosse, Peterborough’s Scott Evans has been named one of the inductees for the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025. Evans played 13 seasons in the MSL, averaging over three points per game throughout his career, while helping the Lakers to five Mann Cup championships.
He’ll be officially inducted on November 1 at the Monthill Golf & Country Club in Caledonia.
And on the diamond, the Peterborough U18 Elite Tigers are in the process of organizing tryout dates for the 2026 season. Right now, they are gauging interest and are asking those interested to email Bob Neck at bobneck17@gmail.com or text him at 705-761-9694.
