Thirteen young Scouts from the 1st Napanee Valley Scouting Group are aiming high with a plan to attend the 2026 Sweden Scout Jamboree, set to take place from July 25 to August 1, 2026.
myFM spoke with Troop Scouter Andrea Miller, who told us more about the Jamboree.
The Napanee group includes 10 Scouts aged 13 to 14 and three older Venturers aged 15 to 17. With the support of volunteers and Scouts Canada, the group has committed to the ambitious journey, but they need help to get there.
The group is reaching out to local businesses and community members for sponsorship and support.
Group administrator Dan Chamberlain told us what donor will receive in return.
