Loyalist Township is teaming up with the Bath Lions Club and Quinte Conservation to bring a free CD3 boat washing station to Finkle’s Shore boat launch from July 30 to August 6, 2025.
The CD3 unit is a mobile, solar-powered cleaning station that helps boaters clean, drain, and dry their watercraft to prevent the spread of harmful aquatic invasive species like zebra and quagga mussels.
The station includes a wet/dry vacuum, air compressor, hand tools, and lighting. It’s easy to use and available to the public. The vacuum removes leftover water and small organisms that could damage local lakes and rivers.
The CD3’s tools are remotely monitored, and the program promotes safer, more responsible boating.
Boaters are encouraged to take advantage of this free service to help protect local waterways.
