A 35-year-old has been arrested after a weapons incident in downtown Picton on Friday evening.
Ontario Provincial Police say they responded around 5:30 p.m. on July 11, 2025, after reports of a man running through the area with a knife, threatening members of the public. Officers located and arrested the suspect quickly. No injuries were reported.
Paul Johnson of Picton has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault with intent to resist arrest, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of a prohibited device.
The accused was remanded into custody and wit a court date scheduled for Monday.
