A new program aimed at helping established small businesses scale their operations is launching this fall in Peterborough.
Community Futures Peterborough and the Business Advisory Centre, with support from Scotiabank, have unveiled SOAR — a free, four-month cohort-based program offering expert-led training tailored to local entrepreneurs.
“This is a direct response to the gaps we’ve consistently seen in our local businesses,” said Rose Terry, Manager of the Business Advisory Centre.
Applications open this summer, with monthly cohorts beginning in September and covering topics from marketing and sales to e-commerce and succession planning.
The Honourable Evan Solomon, Minister responsible for FedDev Ontario, said the federal government’s investment in CFP will “drive meaningful change” by supporting growth-ready companies.
SOAR is open to businesses in Peterborough, the County, Curve Lake and Hiawatha First Nations. Sessions will rotate across locations to boost accessibility for rural and urban business owners alike.
