With a western-inspired theme, Brighton’s “Movie in the Park” event is set to return and light up Memorial Park in August.
The Municipality of Brighton says for this summer’s showing, the classic “Three Amigos” will be up on the big screen on Aug. 16.
Brighton’s community events committee is working on quite the lineup of western-themed fun to round out the event. As part of the festivities, there will also be live tunes from “T&R” before the showing.
T&R is described as a guitar and vocal duo from Brighton – their setlist will lean towards folk, country and roots music. They’ll hit the outdoor stage from 7 to 7:45 p.m.
The film showing will start at 8 p.m. Those looking to get in on the action can also come in costume, whether that means dusting off your cowboy hats or boots, denim jackets, and the like, to add to the western-style movie night.
Brighton’s Movie in the Park is a free event thanks to the committee and DBIA.
Folks are encouraged to bring blankets and/or a lawn chair.
The rain date is Aug. 23.
