The Peterborough and Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce has announced Brenda Whitehead as its next President and CEO, effective August 4, 2025.
Whitehead, who currently serves as CEO of the Port Hope and District Chamber of Commerce, brings over seven years of experience in stakeholder engagement, policy development and small business support. She’ll now lead Peterborough’s Chamber through its next phase of growth and advocacy.
“We are thrilled that Brenda is joining us,” said Chamber board chair Susan Dunkley. “She understands business needs, the current climate, and she’s passionate about community building.”
Whitehead says she’s proud of her accomplishments in Port Hope and is eager to contribute to Peterborough’s business success.
“I’m looking forward to taking what I’ve learned and working with the team to continue growing the Chamber’s reach and influence,” she said.
The Port Hope and District Chamber is expected to share its leadership transition plan in the coming weeks.
