Belleville Police have arrested a 22-year-old from Bath after a break and enter, motorcycle theft, gas theft, and a failed police stop on Sunday, July 6.
Around 6:52 a.m., officers responded to a break-in at a business on South Church Street, where two motorcycles, a black and silver Kawasaki, had been stolen after the front window was smashed. One of the stolen motorcycles was spotted shortly after, but the rider refused to stop for police.
Later that morning, a silver motorcycle with no plate was seen stealing gas from a North Front Street station. CCTV footage later showed it travelling eastbound on Old Highway 2 near Point Anne.
With help from the public, police identified and arrested Brandon Sagriff of Bath. He faces six charges, including break and enter, theft, possession of stolen property, fleeing police, and dangerous driving.
Sagriff was released on an undertaking and will appear in court in August.
