The Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte are inviting the community to help choose a name for their new elder care home. After receiving many name submissions, they have narrowed it down to four options.
Community members can now vote online at mbq-tmt.org/help-us-name-the-mbq-long-term-care.
The four possible names are MBQ Elder Care Residence, Kajijontha (when the flowers blossom) Elder Care Home, Elder Circle, and Tsi Thonwatíhsnye’s (the place they take care of them / support them) Elder Care Home.
Voting is open now and will close at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025. The name with the most votes will be chosen as the official name of the new elder care home.
