The Kiwanis Club of Scott’s Plains hopes its inaugural Lemonade Stand Day provides a sweet treat to the Riverview Park and Zoo.
Those who register their lemonade stands for August 23rd will receive all they need to set up their stands, including lemonade mix, cups and signs. Visit www.ptbolemonadestandday.com to register for the one-day event, which will see all proceeds go to the Riverview Park and Zoo.
Kiwanian Greg McLeod says with the club celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, members were looking to organize a new event.
McLeod notes the club’s support of the zoo and its playground areas goes back years.
McLeod says when all is said and done, Lemonade Stand Day is really about kids helping kids.
