When police arrived on scene, they said a 36-year-old Belleville man was transported to hospital and later pronounced deceased – no vehicle was allegedly at the scene, but glass and debris were scattered on the road.
On Friday, police said yesterday afternoon – July 3 – with help from the service’s criminal investigations division and traffic safety unit, police arrested 43-year-old Joseph Scott Nestler, of Belleville.
The accused is charged with failing to stop at an accident, resulting in death, reported police.
