School is out, and if you have a backyard pool, it can be a great way to beat the heat.
But OPP Constable Andrew Gamble is reminding parents and caregivers that, while pools are great way to enjoy time outside, accidents can happen.
This message goes especially for those with small children, who may think they can go in by themselves but just aren’t ready yet.
This also goes for adults as well.
Backyard parties are common in the summer time.
Gamble says if you aren’t a good swimmer, there is no shame in sitting out on that part of the party.
Gamble wants to make sure everyone has a safe summer.
