Peterborough residents are being asked to weigh in on how their city should grow.
A new online survey invites public input on the City’s proposed Community Planning Permit System (CPPS), which would overhaul the current Zoning By-law. The updated framework is intended to streamline planning decisions and guide how development unfolds across neighbourhoods and high-growth areas.
Participants can share their views on everything from low- and mid-rise housing in residential neighbourhoods to taller buildings and mixed-use development in key areas like downtown, Lansdowne Street, and Chemong Road.
The feedback will help shape a new City-wide Community Planning Permit By-law that will outline rules for land uses, building heights, setbacks and more.
The survey is available now through the Connect Peterborough portal at connectptbo.ca/cpps, where residents can also find a recording and presentation from a recent virtual meeting held June 24.
