Canada Day festivities in Brighton will feature delicious eats, free family fun, live entertainment, and, of course, fireworks.
Here’s your Canada Day lineup:
Brighton festivities are in King Edward Park and kick-off with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m.
Free family fun – bouncy castles, balloon twisting, face painting, live entertainment, and more – starts at 10 a.m. at the park. These activities will continue until 3 p.m. Several food trucks will also be dishing up tasty treats.
The Canada Day parade starts at 10:45 a.m. and will wind its way through the park. Official opening ceremonies start at 11 a.m. There will be free cake as part of the celebration while supplies last.
Evening festivities will feature live entertainment by Firebush starting at 7:30 p.m., and fireworks will cap off the day at 10 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to bring a blanket and/or lawn chair for the show.
Nearby in Quinte West, there will also be free activities, live entertainment and more at Centennial Park. Familiar favourites like the Trenton Lions’ pancake breakfast, vendor village, the car show, food trucks, all-day entertainment, and fireworks are lined up.
And the Great Canadian Lumberjacks are putting on demonstrations at 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Quinte West Pop-ups are also open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
