A fun day for pets and those who love them is returning to the Peterborough Animal Care Centre.
On June 21st, the second annual Pet Fest will be held at the Peterborough Humane Society-operated centre on Technology Drive. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., pet owners and their charges can enjoy a number of activities, such a treats along the Woofway, and visit vendors in the Meow Market.
Society donor experience and communications manager Si Grobler says last year’s inaugural Pet Fest was attended by more than 800 people.
Grobler says in terms of community outreach, Pet Fest is a great way of letting pet owners, and the general public, know about the many services the centre offers.
Grobler notes there’s another huge benefit to holding the event.
Besides the pet-themed market, Pet Fest will feature live music, kids’ games and activities, and local food vendors, sponsored by PFW Country Store, Peterborough Mitsubishi and RBC.
