A 20-year-old from Hamilton Township is facing charges after an alleged assault involving a snowmobile on Curtis Point Road.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say they received a report of the incident shortly after 9 p.m. on Jan. 26. A passing snowmobile operator was involved in an altercation with a local resident, resulting in minor injuries. Emergency Medical Services attended the scene to provide treatment.
Officers patrolled the area and, using a description of the snowmobile and its rider, located and arrested a suspect shortly afterward.
The accused has been charged with assault with a weapon and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
