The highly anticipated Hike, Bike, and Bark for Hospice event is returning to Victoria Park, Cobourg, on September 29, 2024.
Organised by the Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre Foundation and Community Care Northumberland, the event aims to unite the community while raising funds for local hospice services.
With the recent expansion of Ed’s House from a six-bed to a ten-bed facility, the event is more vital than ever, supporting the hospice’s free services for individuals and families during difficult times.
Registration opens on August 6, featuring a new user-friendly website, hikebikebarkforhospice.ca.
Participants can sign up as individuals or teams, choose from 2k, 5k, or 10k routes, and easily track their progress and donations.
Registration costs $30 per person, $15 for youth aged 13-18, and kids under 12 and furry friends can participate at no cost. Each participant will receive an official event t-shirt and race kit.
“We hope everyone will join us and help support the Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre Foundation. Your participation and support are vital in continuing our important work,” said Trish Baird, CEO of Community Care Northumberland.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available – for more details, contact Joel Scott at j.scott@commcare.ca or call 905-885-0466.
