Cobourg residents are being informed that businesses on Covert Street will operate as usual during the demolition of the “Beyond the Blue Box” site from May 1-6.
The Covert Street parking lot will remain open, with traffic rerouted through the area from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“Demolition may look like destruction, but it means progress towards our bright future, and we are so grateful for these steps forward!” says Beyond the Blue Box Board Chair Lynn McMillan.
The town says they appreciates residents’ cooperation and understanding during this period of progress.
Residents are reminded that the retail stores located at 66 King St. E. and 41 King St. E are operating under regular business hours: from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
Please note that Beyond the Blue Box will not be able to accept any donations at 12 Covert Street on Wednesday, May 1, Thursday, May 2, and Friday, May 3. However, they will resume accepting donations on Saturday, May 4, and Sunday, May 5.
