
Hwy 28 near Bewdley was closed for a serious two vehicle collision investigation yesterday.
Just before 9 a.m., Northumberland OPP officers, along with Fire and Emergency Medical Services, responded to a two-vehicle collision on County Road 28 near Boundary Road in the Municipality of Port Hope.
The crash involved a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle.
Following the collision, one of the drivers was airlifted by Ornge due to serious injuries. The current status of the airlifted driver remains unknown at this time.
County Road 28, spanning from 9th Line to County Road 9, stayed closed until early evening while OPP Technical Collision Investigators examined the incident. The area has since been reopened.
