Highland Shores Children’s Aid Society has a big reason to celebrate, thanks to a generous contribution of $85,000.
During their 12th annual general meeting, the organization was honored to receive a substantial grant from the Resilient Communities fund, supported by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
MPP Todd Smith, present at the meeting, highlights the significance of mental health for families and expresses delight that the funds will be put to good use by Highland Shores.
“Addictions and mental health impact families. We need to recognize that impact and take action to treat the condition, support those affected, and promote wellbeing. I’m pleased that Highland Shores Children’s Aid is putting this funding to good use by partnering with the Canadian Mental Health Association to develop programming that will help,” said Todd Smith, MPP for Bay of Quinte.
The grant will assist in bringing services to families sooner and in their own homes at a time of encroaching crisis.
