The Flood Watch has been issued for the Trent River from Hastings to Trenton.
Rainfall on Sunday and Monday – up to 25 mm – has the potential to increase water levels and flows that are already high due to the spring freshet.
Water levels and flows on the Trent River are steady; however, potential increases to water levels and flows may occur as a result of ongoing water management.
Water currents may be strong and temperatures are still cold.
Parents and caregivers are advised to keep children and pets away from all waterways, especially dams, culverts and bridges.
