After a 2 year hiatus, the CP Holiday Train is making a special stop on November 29th in Brighton.
The CP Holiday Train will be stopping at the Prince Edward Street train track crossing on November 29th at 11:30 am. There will be 30 minutes of entertainment and free hot cider will be available.
This event is in support of Brighton Fare Share Food Bank that provides support to local residents, individuals and families who are struggling to put meals on their table.
“We hope this event will help us fill up the shelves of the Food Bank,” said Emily Rowley – volunteer at Brighton’s Fare Share Food Bank. “CP will also be making a donation too.”
The train will be stopped at the Prince Edward Street train track crossing and attendees are asked to arrive on the south-side of these tracks before 11:30 am.
Police and emergency responders will be on site to help divert driving traffic to cross at the Ontario Street train track crossing during the event.
At the event, volunteers will be accepting non-perishable food items and cash donations, so that volunteers can purchase items needed at the food bank too. Volunteers can be easily identified, they will be wearing name tags.
“We are so grateful for all the community does for us throughout the year and to CP for supporting us during this special day and the Holiday Train program,” added Rowley.
