A group of 59 firefighters will be riding their bikes through the area in the next few days.
Led by the Toronto Professional Firefighter Celtic society, the ride leaves Hamilton this morning and will end in Ottawa at the National Firefighter Memorial site.
Their goal is to raise 100 thousand dollars for the Canadian Firefighters Foundation.
The 560km journey is dedicated to firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
The annual journey has been postponed in the past two years due to the pandemic.
